The open forums area, which includes the JSO Photo Discussion forum, are free and accessible by anyone who registers as a member of ILP. Because it is accessible to all, we do not allow business or client related discussions to take place. Members are advised to read carefully the ILP Guidelines soon after registering. Welcome! Ü JSObiz is a special forum that ILP members requested to allow discussion of business and client related matters, which are not allowed in the open forums. Accessible by application, you must have a grasp of photographic basics and be producing consistently good images, as evidenced on your website or blog, etc. Apply *here*. Our most popular paid forums - discuss all aspects of professional children's portrait photography in a moderately secure environment. More difficult to get approved for access to F/A compared to JSObiz since the level of photographic ability is very high. (Hint: your exposures, focus, and contrast should be quite consistent.) Apply here after May 15, 2008.
More information.		 For professional children's photographers who currently produce exceptional portraits for clients on a consistent basis, the Pro Forum at ILP is the place to be. The application process is tougher than for F/A, allowing for more focus, where topics can be discussed at length with fellow pros who take their professions very seriously. No additional fee over the F/A membership. Application available to current F/A members only. Apply from within F/A.

This is where the real action is for the professional children's photographer, and those who aspire to be one! After reading below, if you still have any questions or problems with ILP, email me: eddie at ilovephotography dot com


  • Some things you must know: To see the forums that are invisible to you now, you must register (see below) and be logged in. If you have registered and are logged in, but still don't see the forums, it is because you have not yet validated your email address. Immediately after registering, ILP will send you a validation email which you are to respond to. Once you respond to the validation email, you will be able to see, enter, and post to the forums when logged in.
  • IMPORTANT: If you have an email/spam filter on your mailbox, you MUST set it to accept email from: ilp@ilovephotography.com. This is necessary in order for you to receive the validation email. Without validation, you cannot see or enter the forums... they'll remain invisible to you.
  • Please remember that ILP is a site dedicated to the art and business of children's portrait photography. Many of our members are working pros, serious amateurs, and lovers of the art of children's portraiture. With this in mind, please do not choose a mommy or daddy name as a user name. Instead, decide how you'd like to be perceived as a photographer or artist in and around the forums. Many members simply use their first name and last initial, or first initial and last name, their business names or full real names. Thank you for keeping this in mind. Later on, you'll be glad you kept your name simple and relevant.
  • Also, only letters and numbers are allowed in your name... no squigglies (or whatever you call them), and no asterisks or underlines allowed. Dashes are okay between words.
