Will there be just one winner, and that person chooses their prize? Or will there be runner ups etc.

Eta never mind, lol. My iPad scrolling missed the end bit the first time around!

She asked me what those flowers were. I told her "honeysuckle". "OH honey! I love honey!" I asked if she'd ever tried a honeysuckle. She looked at me as if I'd grown a second head.

I showed her how to pull the bottom off slowly and catch the glistening drop of nectar on the stamen with her tongue. She was hooked. She picked as many as she could carry (stuffing them in her shirt so they didn't "squish"), and got lost in one of MY favorite childhood pastimes. :)

This photo speaks "innocence" to me...

This shot was taken during a newborn session with Owen's baby brother. Baby Kellan needed to take a nursing break so Owen decided this would be the perfect time to go downstairs to get a picture with his fish and with his favorite toys. He posed next to his fish, his ping pong table and next to dad's work boots.... Then when it was time to head back upstairs he said, "But, wait...I have one more thing". He climbed on his pony, and gave me this proud and serious expression. When I showed it to him on the camera screen, he said, "This one is for you, you can keep it". It melted my heart and will always be one of my very favorite images....

This is my sweet Naomi Grace. She recently said, "I can see the moon, Mommy! It's way up high. I can't even reach it, but if I had wings, I could fly up there and touch the moon!" Yes, sweet princess, if you had wings, you could do just that! :) Though I may be a bit biased, this precious photo is innocence captured to me. :)

I love this image of my little Max. I will cherish this innocent time in his life when I look back at fond memories of his curls, long eye lashes and freckles:) Iso 200, F1.8 SS 1/100. I used my speed light and bounced it off the wall/ceiling behind and to the left of me.

I took this on our little lake family weekend away. My daughter simply ADORES her little foster-brother (SOON to be adopted brother)! She was walking through the garage moving him out of trouble when I snapped this.

Just a LITTLE background, this little baby boy was abused HORRIBLY at the age of 2 months old, 2 skull fractures, retinal bleeding, brain hemorrhages which resulted in emergency brain surgery 2 months after we first got him. Most all of our family/friends are afraid of him, afraid of hurting him....but not my Brooklyn. To her, he's the best thing in the world.

A shoot I did out in AZ. I was so glad to capture this moment. As a mom, I know this feeling of just breathing in your child. ISO 200 SS 1/200 F 4.5

For the past 3 years my oldest son's BFF has been the sweet girl down the street. Their friendship has been uncomplicated by the whole boy/girl thing but i know that it's possible that someday a look might be shared, a smile could become more meaningful, and what was once so innocent might turn into their first case of puppy love. While taking this picture of them last night among the spectacular show of blooming trees i caught this image and can't help but wonder how much longer this age of innocence is going to last...

You are going to make me cry. What special children you have and congrats on your son's upcoming adoption. I have two daughters who are adopted and I still pinch myself for being so lucky to be their mama! :)
